Brief History of the Church- Restoration Church
In the early stages of my walk with God as a servant, I was deeply on fire for Christ. My passion for serving Him was so intense that I almost abandoned my education, as I could not see anything in this world that could compare to that burning desire, a fire that still defines my walk with Him today.
However, by God’s grace, I completed my education and later moved to a new country, a new territory and a new environment. I could not speak the language, and I had no family there. Yet, I found comfort in prayer, in a place called Muizenberg in Cape Town, South Africa.
In that season, I was alone, continually seeking God and sitting at His feet in prayer. It was in that place that a vision was birthed — a deep understanding of what it truly means to start a ministry. This revelation was given to me by the Holy Spirit on the mountain.
At first, I believed that starting a ministry required instruments, a building, chairs, and members. But the Holy Spirit corrected my understanding and taught me that all I truly needed was a vision. People do not follow buildings or instruments, they follow vision. When there is a clear vision, even if you are under a tree, people will gather.
John the Baptist stood in the wilderness, yet multitudes came to him because he carried a clear vision. A clear vision positions you on a mountain of visibility.
The Lord then breathed His vision into me, revealing that He was clothing me with the garment of the anointing of restoration. This restoration would reach into every area of life where the enemy has caused loss, confusion, or displacement in people’s destinies.
After receiving this mandate and being positioned on the mountain of visibility, Restoration Church was birthed. The Lord also instructed me to preserve the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit and never abandon the place where the vision was conceived the secret place.
Today, Restoration Church – House of Prayer & Worship stands on that very foundation.
Restoration Church – House of Prayer & Worship was founded with a divine mandate to restore lives through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. From its inception, the church has been committed to raising a generation rooted in prayer, passionate in worship, and bold in faith.
What began as a small gathering of believers has grown into a vibrant spiritual community focused on revival, discipleship, and evangelism. Through the consistent teaching of the Word, fervent prayer, and the move of the Holy Spirit, the church continues to impact lives, families, and communities.
